The sitting list of the Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court as of 26th November 2018 is as follows.

As per the sitting list specified by the Chief Justice, the judges of the Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court are assigned matters such as Public Interest Litigations, Civil Writ Petitions, Caste Claim and Caste Scrutiny Committee matters, Family Court Appeals, Criminal Writ Petitions, Criminal Appeals, Civil Revision Applications etc.

The latest sitting list as of 26th November 2018 specifies the names of the judges of the Nagpur Bench of the Bombay High Court together with the types of matters assigned to them.

In partial modification to the judicial assignment of the Nagpur Bench which has come into effect from 19th November 2018, it is hereby notified for the information of the Advocates and parties appearing in person that the Hon’ble the Chief Justice is pleased to approve following partial modification with effect from 26th November 2018:

N O T E

(1) All Courts would take up cases for final hearing including old cases pertaining to their
assignment on every Thursday.

(2) The matters/cases, wherein Apex Court had passed order for expeditious hearing/time
bound hearing, be given priority. The matters of Senior Citizens would also be given
priority.

(3) The Criminal Appeals pending for more than five years in which the accused is / are in Jail, be given priority.

(4) The Hon’ble Shri. Justice Z. A. HAQ is appointed to hear and decide the matters under the Companies Act, 1956, and Companies Act, 2013 and Banking Regulation Act, 1949.

(5) The Hon’ble Shri Justice V.M. DESHPANDE is appointed to hear and decide all matters under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

(6) Contempt Petition (Civil) will be taken up by the concerned Division Bench or Single Judge, as the case may be, before which the main matter is pending or before which the main matter would lie, if it were pending.

(7) In respect of all Partheard matters, those shall cease to be Partheard after change in assignment. However, in case, a proposal for hearing of Partheard matters is forwarded by concerned Bench/ Court, on the parties making such request, such proposal will be placed before the Hon’ble the Chief Justice. Only upon approval of such proposal by the Hon’ble the Chief Justice, such matters, will be assigned to concerned Bench/ Court.
